Pressure

Pressure refers to the force applied perpendicular to the surface of an object acting per unit area. Pressure is the measure of how the force is distributed over the given area. \[\text{Pressure}=\frac{\text{Force}}{\text{Area}}\]
Pressure is a scalar quantity. Its SI unit is pascal (Pa). \(1 \ Pa = N^{}m^{-2}\)
Other units of pressure are bar and atm. \(1 \ bar = 10^{5} Pa\), \(1 \ atm =1.013 \times 10^{5} Pa\), \(1\ atm = 1.013 \ bar \)
Dimension of Pressure, \(\textbf{[Pressure]} = [M^{-1}L^{-1}T^{-2}]\)
